The Teacher in Me Never Left

Long before I began publishing books, I was already standing in front of children—teaching, guiding, listening, and learning with them.

Teaching is more than a profession; it is a window into the hearts of young people. Over the years, I have watched children wrestle with questions about identity, confidence, and purpose. Some were bold and expressive. Others were quiet, carrying struggles they could not easily explain.

In those moments, I often discovered something powerful: children sometimes understand life better through stories than through lectures.

A story can slip gently into the heart where instructions may not easily reach.

This understanding led me beyond the classroom. Through drama and stage performances, I began writing and acting in stories that spoke to families, young people, and communities. Together with passionate partners, we traveled across cities and towns, presenting plays that challenged, inspired, and stirred deep reflection.

Those experiences confirmed something I had always believed—stories have the power to shape lives.

I saw people laugh, reflect, and sometimes wipe quiet tears as they recognized pieces of their own lives within the stories we told. I witnessed how a well-told story could awaken courage, restore hope, and bring clarity to difficult situations.

Even as my journey evolved—from teaching, to drama, to writing books—the teacher in me never left.

Today, my classroom has simply grown larger.

Through Ink of Hope Books, the lessons I once shared in classrooms and on stages now travel through pages into the hands of children, parents, and educators across communities and nations.

And my hope remains the same as it was when I first began teaching:
that every child who encounters these stories will discover courage, identity, and the confidence to walk their own path with hope.

Because sometimes the most lasting lessons are not the ones we are told—but the ones we discover through a story.

If our books can help even one child discover courage, one parent guide their child with wisdom, or one teacher inspire a classroom with hope, then this vision is already worth it.
